Michael and Vickie Eckert came to the Livermore Valley in 1985 to raise horses. After an evening at a Winemaker’s dinner, however, we had a change of heart and decided to plant Cabernet Sauvignon cuttings obtained from a local winery instead. With this new vineyard and enology courses from U.C. Davis, Michael was ready to make wine. In 2014, Michael decided to try his hand at distilling – and to our pleasant surprise, he’s really good at that too! There’s always something new going on
